With a career spanning over three decades, Clarence Carter has navigated the ever-evolving landscape of marketing and advertising with finesse and innovation. His journey began in the late 1980s as a media assistant for Craftmatic Beds and Contour Chairs. He soon became an account executive for the Law Offices of Larry H. Parker, where he pioneered direct response advertising strategies for the iconic “Larry Parker got me 2.1 million” and “I’ll fight for you” TV campaigns. Clarence not only managed the account and media, but also co-produced a huge library of compelling television commercials that became synonymous with the firm’s brand.
Driven by a passion for technology, Clarence transitioned to Gemstar Development Corporation as a marketing manager. Among other marketing endeavors, he played a pivotal role in producing print ads, short-form commercials and long-form infomercials showcasing Gemstar’s VCR Plus+ Instant Taping device.
As the internet began to revolutionized communication, Clarence seized the opportunity to establish his consultancy, providing traditional and interactive marketing solutions. His client portfolio included popular brand names such as HP, Epson, Lexus USA, Anderson Consulting, and The Law Firm of Scott & Whitehead. Notably, Clarence was sought after by Pamela and Tommy Lee’s attorneys as a behind the scenes expert to help them find the person responsible for the distribution of the infamous stolen sex tape.
For over two decades, Clarence served as General Manager of Executive Law Group, in Newport Beach, California, where he spearheaded transformative marketing initiatives. His innovative print campaigns in OC Lawyer, a publication distributed to Orange County Bar Association members, garnered acclaim for their creativity and strategic impact. Clarence was also responsible for developing the firm’s web presence, overseeing direct mail, email campaigns, and managing day-to-day operations with a keen eye for efficiency and growth.
